Adventures with new gadgets

Just so you know, I've been adventuring with a new gadget.
Here's a peedie snapshot of life at the moment....

1 The remnants of visitors - fine beer* tasted, accompanied by beautiful metal hearts handmade and gifted by visiting teenage boys studying forging. Who say's teenage boys have no manners. Beautiful Jack, just beautiful.
2 Fridge legacies of adventures from years gone by.
NOT the best botanic garden in the world, but interesting.
3 Alien close ups....
4 Garden recycling, promoting what we do at work. Put your bidet in the garden.
5 Pigeons in ditches, sunday dinner.
Most excellent first attempt at cooking this family meal by the cellist.
6 After work stomps at Hobbister,
Orkney with the mutts - sunshine high in the sky.
7 Kitchen jungles, the only inedible house plant I cannot kill. Yes seriously!
Generally my rule of thumb is if I can't eat it, I'm hopeless at keeping it alive.

*Fine beer, in my mind is an oxymoron. There is no such thing. However, I respect the opinions of others as long as I don't have to try any more of the evil brew. [Thanks Robyn]

  1. I'll forgive you, and no, you don't have to try any more (unless you want to!)
    Happy new gadget! xx

    1. Thankfully others enjoy beer Robyn. I'm grateful for that. Imagine if there was only beer to drink. I think I'd dehydrate quickly.

    1. Beer Janet is only good for stew or making bubbly batter. I am happy to be missing out and leave you all enjoying it. Tolemeia menzii one of my favourites and the only house plant I can't kill.

  3. Love the bidet, what a great use for it! The view at Hobbister is stunning too. Can I ask you a quick Scottish question - do you have any idea what "baup" is? It is an old word I think (in use maybe 100 years ago) and is something you eat, as in "... he should have had muckle baup like me." I googled it but nothing, then I remembered that you often enlighten us as to Scottish words. So just thought I would ask, hope you don't mind.

    1. Hi there I don't mind at all. I haven't managed to find out. I did winder if baup was 'bap' meaning roll (bread bun)? I have no enlightenment I'm afraid just a brain that speaks to itself in Scots dialet to confuse me.
