Hi there Deb - the serviceable clothes are under the apron. When potting large quantities of plants, an apron saves the compost ending up on everything and in the washing machine :) Our instructors always insisted we wore them, initially I thought it a chore but now I have to say, I love it and saves so much washing of the normal serviceable clothes.
