So Mr Flowers and myself headed into this special forest (that one up there) and got married among the giant trees. OK so we've been around with each other forever - but we'd decided its time to become husband and wife. We're so very excited! Whilst we'll not be living with each other initially we'll be finding our first home together next year and with that in mind when asked what we would like for wedding presents, we said 'trees' please - it was almost a poem.
We'd just love to plant a wedding woodland, with a bit of an orchard, some native trees and shrubs to make our new house a home. So with this in mind a lovely tame wholesale reputable tree nursery up in the north of Scotland is hosting our online 'wedding woodland' allowing friends and family to allow them to donate if they'd like. Adding something magical to our future life together.
Any extra trees we'll donate to a community garden, although to be honest, who has 'extra trees'?

ReplyDeleteLovely idea! Shame we aren't closer too you as I could have given you lots of whips from my parent's wood. I hope to wed in a woodland too. Can you link me up to any posts you have on your wedding? Jenni x
ReplyDeleteThe Thrifty Magpies Nest
OH there haven't been many Jennifer - lovely blog by the way! I'm needing to write more - its hard to organise a green/thrifty/outdoor/frugal/you kind of wedding - in some ways - in others you just need to be bloody minded.

ReplyDeleteAh the tame and gorgeous photographer extraordinaire knows fine the budget lines and the frugality of this lovely event and took some rather amazing pictures. I actually look like a lady. First time ever.
