Headline shouts: Local man emerging from bin, confuses dog in puddle.

Well thanks to your good wishes and a bit of suit wearing and sleathy CV embelishment, I appear to have been successful in my attempts to officially stalk the local garden guru. Hurrah, I am now his right hand woman, all legit and everything, I have another job. The good wishes, certainly helped boost my confidence, thanks! The news of this great acheivement (Peedie is a big fan of the garden guru and his pockets of doggie treats) and then on his walk, seeing the man emerging from a local bin today (look closely at the photo above) has confused so Peedie so, that he stood in a puddle for a while today taking it all in.

Although truth be told, we don't often see men emerging from bins, nor dogs actively standing in puddles. Especially this dog, as he is not a fan of water or wetness. An unusual day all round.
I think the shock got to him, he's gone for a lie down on the sofa. Looks comfy doesn't he?
Its a hard life for a dog having just moved house.

In other great news - the courtyard gardening has begun, a few plants bought (Viburnum davidii, Chamomile, Ajuga repens (tricolor), some peedie violas and a rather lovely looking bird table have cunning found their way into my car and to my new home. Every plant must indeed earn its space here. I told myself, having flown down to Inverness for some womble training last week, that I have to keep up mitigating my carbon footprint by growing more plants. And given that I killed the last lot in the wind, I have to buy some, hey ho no rest for the wicked.

Its, not that I want to buy plants, honest, no no no, I'm trying to balance all that carbon I'm using. Unfortunately that means when I go to Inverness again next week, I'll have to buy more plants. Oh dear what a shame eh, but a girls carbon footprint must be redressed somehow or other. The training isn't optional, so another plane ride means I'll just have to buy some plants for my new little patch, won't I??

Can't have my carbon footprint all out of kilter, now can I.........

  3. Hi there! Such a hardship, having to buy all those plants - I'm sure you'll cope, you always do :) Tis a bit odd to see Peedie just standing in a puddle, hope Haggis didn't copy him too much. Lovely to see him having a nice lie down after, and oh my word, the blankie he's under! How beautiful is that!

So nice for you to be able to do some proper gardening, or anyway have some proper plants around you - enjoy!

    1. I thought it was very odd too the royal peedie doesn't do water. The blankie in question was one made especially by Dreamer for Darwin - how gorgeous it is we all stake a claim to it!

Proper plants are now billowing outside the living room french doors nice to see them again! x

  4. Well they do say that GHG emissions at altitude are the most potent - so it seems only logical that you need to air freight the plants back from Inverness so that they can do some 'in sky' repairs!!!! Love Cat x

    1. Well Cat you'd be the one to know that so I bow to your knowledge - having flown twice last month I need to get buying those plants dont I?

I'm not sure they'd like the climate up there in the sky doesn't it get a bit cold?

      xx

  5. It is very noble of you to plant so many plants. Very self-sacrificing ;-) And CONGRATULATIONS! This is what I get by being so bad at reading blogs recently, I get totally out of touch with my favourite people. Bah, but hey, well done, and lucky gardening guru to have you on side. Officially and everything.
